WHAT IS TRUTH?

"What is truth?" Pilate asked Jesus. (John 18:38 NKJV)

This is an important question each of us must face.

Jesus said, "Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice. (John 18:37 NKJV)

The truth is we all face eternity. The truth is we are all sinners by nature. The truth is we all need a Savior.

Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, (God Incarnate,) came down from heaven and lived a sinless life on this earth. In time he was persecuted, suffered, and died to pay the price for our sin. On the third day, His resurrection signified He had conquered death and dying.

This is God's plan for our redemption.

Only by acknowledging our sinful condition and placing our faith in Jesus' death and resurrection can we be saved. This is the truth, spoken by Jesus Himself. It is a free gift of grace to all who would believe He has paid for the sin of mankind for all time. All we need to do is receive the gift.

Jesus said, (John 3:18 NKJV): "He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the only begotten Son of God."

Is this plan exclusive: This plan is inclusive of ALL who would call upon His name. (John 3:15 NKJV) says: .. "whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

Jesus said, (John 14:6): "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."

Today is the day to place your faith in Jesus Christ. This is the truth Jesus was referring to in His conversation with Pontius Pilate. It is the timeless truth which produces eternal life in all who call upon His name.

A simple prayer is all it takes! Pray: "Dear Lord, I open my heart and invite you inside, to be my God, to be my Savior, and to be my friend. Forgive me of my sins, and wash me clean. This day I have decided to follow You, Jesus, for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen."

Paul writes, (Romans 10:9 NKJV): "that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
